Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon recalled because of undeclared milk

Taylor Fresh Foods of Illinois is recalling a limited quantity of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon, 10.25oz, because of an undeclared milk allergen. 

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that 500 units of the salad were mistakenly packaged with a sealed packet of parmesan cheese crumbles instead of the intended crispy onions, introducing milk not declared on the label.

This issue poses a serious or life-threatening risk to individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities. 

The recalled product was distributed to Trader Joe’s stores in the following states: Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

As of the posting of this recall, no adverse reactions have been reported.

Consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities are urged not to consume this product. Those who purchased the affected Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon may discard it or return it to any Trader Joe’s location for a full refund.
