Europe sees rise in possible fraud alerts in June

Suspected cases of fraud shared between European countries increased in June compared to the month before.

There were 215 reports in June, 150 in May, 188 in April, 204 in March, 159 in February, and 189 in January 2026. Earlier data for 2025 shows 196 in December, 194 in November, 223 in October, 164 in September, 166 in August, 136 in July, 164 in June and 129 in May.

Fifteen alerts mentioned the United States in June. The majority were related to supplements but one was for additives in a carbonated soft drink not complying with EU limits and another was for illegal import of cheese sauce.
