Eataly opened its doors to the public on 12 June at Miami’s Aventura Mall, one of the largest shopping centres in the United States. Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, the new site marks the Italian food hall’s first foray into the Florida market. The marketplace will be hosting 10 days of free programming starting today, with wine tastings and producer demonstrations, and more.
Conceived to showcase Italy’s culinary and cultural heritage, Eataly Aventura includes two table-service restaurants (La Pizza & La Pasta and Il Pastaio), a range of quick-service dining options, an extensive retail market, a curated wine shop, and a dedicated cookery school offering educational programmes.
“Ciao Eataly Aventura – our first location in Florida is now open in the iconic Aventura Mall,” writes Eataly in an official statement. “Our 30,000-square-foot space features two full-service restaurants; a cooking school; quick-service counters with gelato, coffee, pastries, and Roman-style pizza alla pala; and a marketplace of high-quality products from fresh pasta to salumi & formaggi, local produce, Italian wine, and imported Italian goods. Celebrating our entry into the local community, we were pleased to partner with Florida-born visual artist Jason Woodside on custom-designed artwork showcasing his signature geometric style with hints to Italian elements, such as coffee beans, olive oil drops, and more. Eataly has recently launched a new format in the US: Eataly Caffè, a café-style concept that merges Italian culinary tradition with a contemporary approach aimed at consumers seeking high-quality, quick-service options. The menu features 100% Arabica coffee, Roman-style pizza alla pala, sandwiches, salads, and traditional Italian pastries, with an emphasis on freshness and artisanal preparation. The first location opened on 15 May at New York’s Rockefeller Center, followed by a second on 3 June at Hudson Yards. A third outlet is set to open shortly on Lexington Avenue.
