Michigan State University (MSU) Online Food Safety Program is offering an Executive Education program, “Creating a Food Safety Culture,” scheduled for June 10-12, 2025. This event after event will bring together food safety professionals from around the globe to engage in discussions and workshops aimed at fostering a robust food safety culture within their organizations.
The program will be led by renowned food safety expert and MSU Adjunct Faculty member Frank Yiannas. Yiannas is the former Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response at the Food and Drug Administration. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Yiannas’ extensive experience and insights into behavior-based food safety management systems. Additionally, the event will feature a guest lecture by Bill Marler, JD, Managing Partner at Marler Clark LLP PS, a leading figure in food safety litigation.
Attendees come from diverse backgrounds within the food industry, all dedicated to advancing food safety standards. Titles of past participants have included VP of Global QA Operations, Director of FSQA, Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager, and Corporate Food Safety Group Leader, among others.

Registration Information:
Industry Professionals: $3,300. For those who work in industry.
Alumni/Non-Profit: $2,300. This rate is for those who have graduated from the MSU Online Food Safety Master’s Program or who are employed by a non-profit institution.
Registration includes most meals, special dinners at the MSU Broad Art Museum and the MSU Breslin Student Events Center, 3-night hotel accommodations, and transportation during the event.
