The number of issues raised at the latest World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting on food safety showed a continued increase.
Attendees at the June meeting of the WTO Committee on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures addressed 79 trade concerns related to food safety and animal and plant health. In March 2026, 76 topics were covered, up from 71 in November 2025.
